Running late? Think there’s no time for makeup? Think again! There’s always time for beauty, ladies, and it doesn’t have to take you hours. Here’s a simple, 6-step breakdown on how to do your makeup in minutes.
A foundation, or better yet, a tinted moisturizer, will eliminate the step of applying your day crea. Smooth all over your face, blending into your jawline and hairline.
Since you’ve already applied the tinted moisturizer or foundation, you’ll need less concealer, if any. Apply under eyes and on blemishes as needed.
A blush, or bronzer, applied in a circular motion on the apples of the cheek and sweep up the cheek bone.
Apply eye liner to upper lash line as close to the roots as possible and smudge with a Q-Tip.
Apply mascara, getting as close to the roots as possible. For a time saver, just do the upper lashes.
Apply lipstick or lip gloss to the lips.
That’s it, and you’re on your way! Quick, simple, and glamarific!

Great tips…. it is simple and not complicated… and FAST! I am going to look into the tinted moisturizer! Thanks!
Thanks for the tips! Your are a great example of how to be lovely inside and out!
Always looking for tips at 515 am when I’m getting ready for work!
Yeah, I like the tinted moisturizer as well. Do you have any favorites?
I have such a horrible time picking out concealer !
What’s the best tinted moisturizer?
Jennifer, some of my favorite tinted moisturizers are Laura Mercier, Shisheido, and Elizabeth Arden. They all go on smooth and even and have a great finish to them. Pretty much every makeup line has a tinted moisturizer, so if you have a favorite brand check theirs out, too.
Teri, there are lots of tinted moisturizers on the market, so it’s kind of up to what your needs are. For example, what kind of texture, shimmer (if any), one that’s more “liquidy” or creamy, etc. I mentioned Laura Mercier, Shisheido, and Elizabeth Arden to Jennifer a few moments ago as some of my personal favorites, and you might like them, too.
As far as picking a concealer goes, what sorts of problems are you having when picking one out?
What do you think of mineral or powder foundation?
Amy, I love mineral and powder foundations. Just be sure to use a foundation primer first so that you’ll get even coverage and long-lasting wear.
